23 Weeks - Update!

Well I am officially 23 weeks and 2 days today!!!!!!!!  I can't believe we are gonna have a newborn in our home in 17 weeks!  I am beyond excited and can't wait to meet him!!  I never thought pregnancy would go so fast.  Of course I am sure the last 3 months are probably the worst.  I have been truly blessed to have one of the easiests pregnancies in the world.  However, for the last week I have definately been feeling the aches and pains of pregnancy.  Last Friday I started getting severe sharp pains in my left lower back, buttocks and leg.  It was so bad I callapsed in pain and tears a handful of times throughout the week.  I had to take work off for a few days and traveled between the doctor office, physical therapist, and chiropractor.  Needless to say they all had a different opinion so I don't know what the heck is happening.  Its either the SI joint, sciatic nerve, or a torn muscle.  Whatever it is, I had no idea that ligiment exhisted until now!!!  Thankfully they have me on some work restrictions, Ibprofrin to decrease inflamation, a streching and hot/cold pad treatment plan the next couple weeks.  We'll see if it works....I guess.  Until then I will fully enjoy relaxation!  =)

We finished Tristan's room (see pics below!).  I LOVE LOVE LOVE the way the nursery turned out and often find myself sitting in the rocker daydreaming about life with him here.  I am so excited to meet him.  I cannot wait to see what this little miracle looks like.  And as each day goes by I find my self getting more and more anxious.  I have to give Anthony most of the painting credit for the nursery (I did a lot of directing - LOL!), but I take full credit for pulling everything else together =)

So we decided on this as the bedding set for his room!  I cannot wait to start decorating!!!!  =)

Anatomy Scan was a Success!!

Below are pictures of Tristan's anatomy scan today!  Everything is measuring wonderfully.  He is weighing about 10 ounces and has a heartbeat of 147!!  Below are a couple of pictures from today.  It is so awesome seeing him on ultrasound.  I wish I could see him every day!  I felt him move again today!  I've actually felt it quite a few times now that I know what the feeling is like!  Its so cool and wierd at the same time.  Kicks are gonna only get stronger!  And yes, he is definately a lil' boy.  I think Mr. Wee Wee grew bigger LMAO!  I am so happy!  I can't wait for Tristan to be here so I can see him, kiss him, feel him, touch him and love him even more!

Checking in!!

Just wanted to update everyone!!  We have reached week 19 in our pregnancy journey!!!  I am sooooo excited for our 19 week anatomy appointment this Friday!  We get to see our son on ultrasound, confirm infact that his little precious parts haven't tucked in since week 15, and make sure that everything is looking great with him.  This particular appointment is referred to as the "anatomy scan" where they measure everythign including his heart chambers, brain, size, weight, etc.  Did you know our little munchkin has his own finger prints this week!  How amazing it is to follow through week by week on his progress and growth.  I can't believe this is all happening in my belly!  I think I felt him move for the first time last Friday.  It was three really fast little flutters but I haven't felt anything since so I hope its not my imagination.  Nurses assure me not to worry though as I won't feel him consistantly until about 22 weeks.

Anthony is doing great.  He is sooooo excited about the baby.  We have decided (as long as he still has his precious parts!) that we are naming him Tristan.  A name that may not seem original to some because it follows my name of course, but one that once we talked about we loved and were pretty much almost certain this was it.  We haven't decided on middle names though so check out the options so far and let us know what you think.

I am still down 3 pounds pre-pregnancy weight which seems hard to believe looking at pictures but its the truth.  Anthony thinks my weight has shifted from "other areas to my tummy".  I guess only he would know best!  =)

Things are going wonderfully and I feel very blessed to have such an easy pregnancy to this point.  No morning sickness, few headaches, no cravings, no weight gain yet, no strech marks, just pretty much counting week by week as it passes by and realizing each week we are gonna have a baby around here in less than 4.5 months!!!  Its crazy to believe but I am truly excited!!!  Please look for photos on Friday from our ultrasound.  I cannot wait to see my son!!!!! Mommy and Daddy love you whole bunches Tristan!!

BOY OR GIRL?

I cannot believe we have 5 more weeks to go before we find out the gender of our little baby.  Now that you have a good ultrasound to look at and a months worth of belly shots - leave a comment on this post and tell us what your opinion is.  Are we having baby Junior or a Lil' Princess?  =)

Karoke Night!

14.5 weeks



Exhausted and tired, I managed to suck it all up and enjoy a great weekend with Anthony.  He had a much needed "night out" and I very much enjoyed watching him sing a ton of karoke songs, dance, and be the social little butterfly I feel in love with.  Yes, it is absolutely wierd being one of the only sober people at the bar besides the servers and bartender!  And no, I do not wish to do this every weekend.  But watching him sing and have fun was totally worth it.  I hope our little one has Anthony's singing and musical talents - cause he is just so much fun and super sexy when he is singing and smiling!  The more and more I think about it though, I don't know what the heck we were thinking.  Mixing Anthony's crazy ass with this sassy, crazy sagittarius cause we are gonna have one wild child!! =)  I am fairly certain I am gonna loose a lot of sleep at night when this baby becomes a teenager.  The phone will be under my pillow, I will be thinking of all the crazy fun times and things we did, and then I will be paranoid our little one got him or herself into some fun trouble cause the mixture of the two of us - oh man!!  Watch out world!!!!!
